The First Snow .

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

Winter’s special.
December’s special.
I love this month.
I love how the snowflakes fall gently, dancing before they hit the ground.
I love how they get all stuck on my bedroom window.
I love waking up in the morning, pulling open the curtain and seeing a winter wonderland.
I love how the tree right next to my window, which usually haunts me during the night, has snow sitting all over it, contrasting so amazingly with the dark brown branch underneath.
I love how when I leave for school, I step in my dad’s footprints already imprinted in the snow, so that I don’t ruin its priceless beauty anymore.
I love December for the holidays.
I love drinking hot chocolate with whip cream, marshmallows, and a hint of caramel topping, after coming in from a cold day.
I love fireplaces with the snow falling gently outside, (I hate how I don’t have one though).
But I still love how random channels on TV have a fireplace turned on.
I love walking into Yorkdale, and seeing it covered in green and red.
I love downtown, with its holiday decorations everywhere.
I love the holiday music on the radio.
I love watching Christmas movies late into the night on TV.
I love watching Home Alone 1 & 2 (because those were the only good ones) with my siblings, cause we do it every winter break.
I love the romance in the air.

I love how my street looks so pretty at night time with the Christmas lights turned on.
I love skating with my friends.
I love falling while I’m skating, cause I’m so clumsy.
I love how in the morning everything looks so pure and untouched.

I love how there’s people in love everywhere.
I love it when snow falls and then it gets caught on your eyelashes.
I love snow.
I love ice.
I love going sledding.
I love the cold.
I love the way the cold slaps you right on the face, when you walk outside.
I love freezing hands; cause then two people could hold them together and make it all better.
I love how Burts & Bees fixes those chapped lips.
I love double pairs of everything so you don’t freeze.
I love pretty gloves and scarves.
I love wearing my pretty winter boots.
I love Uggs on everyone’s feet.

I love fake icicle decorations on people’s houses even though there are already real ones.
I love stomping snow off your boots when you get in the car/home.
I love how all the stores have Christmas themed bags.
I love how all the stores are open late.
I love white Christmases.
I love how everyone’s just so joyous.
I love candy canes & holiday cards.
I love Santa Claus in the malls.
I love Santa Claus' that fail at their job.I love Santa’s reindeers.
I love how the whole world knows this is a special time.
I love when everyone’s nose looks like Rudolph's.
I love how you don't have to wear artificial blush cause the cold makes your cheeks naturally red.

I love how everyone goes home from wherever they stay the whole year, to spend this time with their family.
I love how it gets dark so early but we still go outside, and spend the night having fun.

Have you ever felt like a plastic bag, driftinng through the wind wanting start again?

Have you ever felt as if you were watching everyone else in the room from a birds point of view and you were invisible?
Have you ever felt alone in a crowd before?
Have you ever felt as if no one understands you other than your pillow?
Have you ever felt as if the girl in the mirror is an illusion?
Have you ever felt you were adopted?
Tell me.
